Tusk's unique form factor
The unmanned forklift robot company Tusk
has received three rounds of financing of hundreds of millions of RMB, invested
by Engage Capital, ZhenFund and 01VC. China News Agency 36 Krypton reported
that the funds will be mainly used for product research and development, team
building and marketing.
Tusk was established in 2021 and is located
in Foshan City, Guangdong Province. Its driverless forklifts are different from
products on the market because they integrate automated guided vehicle (AGV)
robotics and driverless forklift capabilities.
Tusk forklift, known as the "Invisible
Pallet Robot", has a total height of no more than 150mm.
Tusk has given its unmanned forklift a thin
and light chassis, which can scan the chassis through lidar to improve obstacle
avoidance.
The new robotic forklift also differs from
conventional underwater jacking robots in that it can directly handle pallets
without the need for additional carriers.
Tusk adopts a modular approach, making its
hardware equipment more standardized in form. In terms of software, Tusk adopts
a low-code system, and users can quickly deploy by dragging and dropping
construction drawings, shortening the project implementation cycle to less than
one week.
