XCMG Machinery has
begun production at its new manufacturing base and is expected to produce 2,000
units of port machinery per year, including reach stackers, forklifts and other
mobile port machinery and gantry cranes, worth RMB3.6 billion (USD514.68 million).
"The new base is in operation earlier than expected. It
will boost our intelligent and green manufacturing aspirations as well as boost
our production volume (and) significantly improve the quality of port
machinery,” says a spokesman.
“XCMG will make every effort to build an international
first-class digital intelligent factory.”
XCMG Port Machinery has created two product lines - pure
electric and fuel, with five product categories, including reach stackers, empty
container handlers, heavy counterbalance forklifts, telescopic handler
forklifts, scrap handlers and flatbed transporters, to meet the market demand
for loading/unloading and handling equipment.
XCMG Port Machinery is focused on the development and
implementation of new energy products. Meanwhile, it is also actively exploring
the application of driverless flatbed transportation robots in ports and
harbours to further expand its market influence and support the construction of
green and intelligent ports and border crossings.
XCMG Port Machinery's products are widely used in major ports
and harbours around the world. From the Port of Dalian in China's north to the
Port of Guangzhou in the south, XCMG says its solutions are setting industry
benchmarks, especially in terms of environmental impact.
