Burt Nickell from St Louis-based materials
handling dealer Wiese USA has taken out this year’s Mitsubishi Logisnext
America's Master Technician Challenge.
Nickell beat a field of 20 finalists in a
two-day challenge at Logisnext Training Centre in Houston, Texas.
The event includes 10 challenge stations
designed to test the technicians’ knowledge and skill levels on a variety of
material handling products.
Second place went to Joel Bregin from Ring
Power Lift Trucks in Jacksonville, Florida and third place to Michael Hussey,
also from Wiese USA, Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas Manager Technical Training
Jason Burton says in a LinkedIn post.
Equipment Depot’s Jiram Pelayo placed
eighth in the overall challenge and also gained the highest score on the
Jungheinrich Order Picker skills test.
The goal of the Master Technician Challenge
is to promote technician training for the Logisnext dealer network and is open
to all dealer technicians who currently hold a Master Technician Certification
across North and South America.
